The German Pupil’s Scholarship Foundation (since 2014)
The German Pupil’s Scholarship Foundation supports two exemplary facilities for unaccompanied young refugees in Ingolstadt. In these facilities, young people are permanently supervised and trained to be able to build a life in Germany. (www.schuelerstipendium-fluechtlinge.de)
LEMI seminar proposition (since 2014)
The project, which is carried out together with Lemi (www.lemi-netzwerk.de) and the support of the Bavarian Ministry of Culture, imparts on pedagogy students and teachers how to cope better with cultural and linguistic diversity within classrooms. (www.lemi-netzwerk.de)
Since 2014 under an initiative of the Federal Government, the G+D Foundation has supported 15 students at the Technical University of Munich, who qualified for the scholarship through their performance and their social commitment. (www.tum.de)
Lernpatenakademie – Academic Mentoring Academy (since 2015)
Volunteer mentors who are active in Munich‘s schools are offered an opportunity for further education through the Academic Mentoring Academy. It is organized by the Munich based volunteer agency Tatendrang (www.tatendrang.de) and exclusively supported by the G+D Foundation. (www.tatendrang.de)
German Pupil’s Scholarship (since 2014)
The “German Pupil’s Scholarship”, a programme which is conducted by the Giesecke+Devrient Foundation in cooperation with the Roland Berger Foundation (www.rolandbergerstiftung.org) and other foundations, has been awarding scholarships nationwide to talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds for many years. Since 2015, the G+D Foundation has been promoting a project under this programme at the Gymnasium in Tegernsee, supporting several beneficiaries. (www.rolandbergerstiftung.org)
“Impro macht Schule” e.V. (since 2014)
Since 2013, the G+D Foundation has supported the “Impro macht Schule” organisation, which focuses on supporting the academic and social development of children from migrant backgrounds and aims to reduce aggressive behaviour and boost self-esteem. (www.impro-macht-schule.de).
Corporate volunteering at Giesecke+Devrient (since 2012)
Within the scope of a voluntary programme Giesecke+Devrient enables its employees to participate in social projects aimed at children and young people; these are selected by the G+D Foundation in cooperation with the volunteer agency Tatendrang. For instance the activities include construction activities in a crèche or excursions with refugee families.
