Johannes von Lill-Rastern

Johannes von Lill-Rastern, born in 1945, was a partner in the auditing company KPMG until his retirement in 2008.

After studying economics in Munich and gaining the degree of Diplom-Volkswirt, he embarked on his professional career in 1970 as an auditor with a firm of accountants in Munich.

In 1976 he joined the tax department of the then auditing and tax consultancy company Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, which was later merged into the present KPMG, and in 1985 he was appointed a partner in the company. From 1988 onwards he ran the tax department of KMPG’s Munich branch.

Johannes von Lill-Rastern is an auditor. As a tax partner with KPMG he looked after the affairs both of German medium-sized companies and of the local subsidiaries of international groups, as well as specializing in matters of international tax law.

Since his retirement, Johannes von Lill-Rastern has worked as a freelance auditor.
